In 2007 my friend Susan and I traveled to Bagamoyo Tanzania to do volunteer work with Cross Cultural Solutions. Susan taught basic English in a pre-school and I taught English in a middle school. This was our first year with CCS. Susan traveled with me the following year to India. Then I did three more tours with CCS in subsequent years. Many if not most of these photos were taken in and around Bagamoyo, a former capital of Tanzania, rich in history and a lovely coastline. The last week of our tour we traveled to Zanzibar. Since these photos were taken my friend Susan has passed away. This album is, of course, dedicated to her memory.
